RAY FINE UV LASER MARKING
Ideal for ultra-fine marking on plastic, glass, PCB, ceramics, lithium batteries, and more — no thermal damage, no consumables, maximum clarity.
WHAT IS A UV LASER
A UV (ultraviolet) laser operates at a short wavelength of 355 nanometers (nm), typically generated through third harmonic generation (THG) in a solid-state laser system. This process begins with an infrared laser (1064 nm), which is first frequency-doubled to green light (532 nm), and then frequency-tripled to produce the ultraviolet beam. The result is a high-energy, short-wavelength laser ideal for micro-level marking.
Unlike infrared or fiber lasers that rely on thermal ablation, UV lasers use a photo-ablation process, where high-energy photons break molecular bonds directly. This “cold processing” method minimizes heat-affected zones (HAZ), avoiding charring, melting, or deformation—making it perfect for marking heat-sensitive materials such as plastics, glass, ceramics, and PCBs.
At Ray Fine Tech, our UV laser marking systems are engineered around this principle, offering both air- and water-cooled options, with power levels from 3W to 20W. Widely used in electronics, medical, and precision industries, our machines deliver permanent, high-contrast markings without consumables, ensuring both environmental sustainability and industrial reliability.

HOW HOW DOES THE LASER MARKING MACHINE WORK?
Technology and Principles:
The laser beam is emitted by an oscillator and scanned using a mirror (known as a scanning mirror), and a focusing lens is then used to focus the beam on the target and mark it by altering the surface.
Constitute:
The important core components of the laser marking machine include laser source, scanning head, F-theta lens, power switch, control motherboard, and electrical accessories.

UV LASER MARKING APPLICATIONS
Ultraviolet lasers operate at a wavelength of 355 nanometers, which is significantly shorter than those used in standard laser marking systems. This shorter wavelength allows the energy to be more readily absorbed by a wide range of materials, especially those that are transparent, heat-sensitive, or difficult to process with longer-wavelength lasers. As a result, UV lasers can achieve extremely fine and clean marks with minimal surface disturbance. Below are six common material types where our technology delivers outstanding results:
